Guard Cleaner® Eco is an Eco Degreaser & Concrete Cleaner

Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors is a powerful, new age, food safe, concrete cleaner and Eco degreaser. It is gentle on surfaces but tough on oil stains. It will remove grease, oil, dirt and grime without damaging the surfaces being cleaned. Guard Cleaner® Eco can safely be used for all kinds of degreasing type cleaning. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

It can safely be used on concrete, natural stone, reconstituted and synthetic stone, terracotta, paving, tiling, marble, stoneware and even timber and timber composites. It can also be used in diluted form for maintenance cleaning of painted and sealed surfaces. We recommend this product for maintenance cleaning of all surfaces protected with our sealers.

For heavy staining the product should be used in conjunction with pressure cleaning for best results. Hot water Pressure cleaning works best but is not essential. The product does not need to be rinsed or neutralised after application. Therefore for minor spot cleaning or maintenance cleaning, pressure cleaning and / or rinsing is not required.

Guard Cleaner® Eco is a Food Safe Cleaner

Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors exceeds strict EU Food Contact Compliance guidelines. It is therefore, safe for use in food preparation areas. It makes a great kitchen bench cleaner, and can be used with confidence to clean all surfaces which may come into contact with food.

Since it is a food safe cleaner you can be confident that it is also a people safe cleaner! It is a safe and easy to use cleaner for all kinds of general purpose cleaning.

Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors does not require rinsing. So it can be used for spray on / wipe off cleaning. For regular maintenance cleaning the product can be diluted 1 part to 9 parts water. This makes an ideal solution for moping or scrubbing floors.

Guard Cleaner® Eco is a safe, non toxic, water based cleaner. It contains no caustic soda or caustic potash, which are commonly found in other so called “Eco Cleaners”. It contains practically no VOC’s (<1g/L) and is made using only biodegradable surfactants. This Eco cleaner is non-corrosive and non-irritating to the skin.

Preparation Cleaning Prior to Sealing

Before apply Guard Industry sealers we strongly recommend you thoroughly clean the surfaces to ensure good penetration and long lasting performance. Guard Cleaner® Eco Soiled Floors should be used as an complement to Guard Remover® Eco Efflorescence & Cement for preparation of porous materials. These two products provide the perfect GFRC /concrete preparation before applying a finishing product.

Apply Sealer to Minimise Cleaning

Once your surfaces are clean it pays to keep them that way! We recommend using a sealer from the ProtectGuard® Sealer Range to protect your surfaces. This will significantly reduce the likelihood of future staining and make surfaces much easier to clean in the future. There are products to suit all types of porous materials in all kinds of applications.

For a food safe sealer to match your food safe cleaner we recommend ProtectGuard® MG Eco. This product is a natural look sealer which itself is Food Contact Compliant. It is a very popular bench top sealer and works well on tiles, stone and polished concrete floors in food prep areas. It contains essentially no VOC’s and is therefore is the first choice indoor sealer for those with allergies, or who are concerned about chemicals in the home.

If you have an oil stain that just won’t budge you might be able to hide it with ProtectGuard® Wet Finish Premium. This product provides an intense colour enhancement to porous materials. The colour enhancement is the same as what the surface looks like when it soaks up water. This colour enhancing effect is often similar to the colour of oil stains and therefore the rest of your surface can be enhanced to match the stain and make it less noticeable.

Before trying this approach we recommend you do a small spot trial first. Check that the look of the sealer on the stone matches the stain on the stone and that the sealer does not react with the stain itself.
